Sue's story

For me singing is more than just a pastime - its a fundamental part of who I am and a powerful tool for well-being.  I bring this philosophy to life by organizing and running vibrant karaoke clubs at the school where I work, fostering a fun environment that promotes positive mental health through song.

My journey with music started at a young age listening to country music my parents played.  In later life when my mum went into a dementia carehome, music and singing all the oldies again became the norm as mum and the residents in the carehome could remember the songs I grew up on.  Come the end, singing and using the power of song was the only way I could communicate with her.

I started going to Jam nights and have met a wonderful crowd of musicians.  Its from going to these friendly music filled nights that I met Al and Tony.

My heart truly belongs to country music.  I'm eagerly anticipating a fantastic weekend at the O2 where C2C will be performing so I will get to see all of my favourite US Country artisits under one roof at that iconic weekend.
